City Center

To accommodate its rapid growth, the USC School of Social Work leased additional space about two miles north of University Park in one of the city's largest high rises, located just blocks from the Staples Center in the heart of a revitalized downtown Los Angeles. City Center houses administrative offices and classrooms in one of the two signature towers on Olive and Hill

The new downtown center offers expansive city views, a 500-seat auditorium, retail shops, a food court and an athletic club. The 35-story building has undergone major interior and exterior renovations, helping to modernize the property and give it a fresh look in accord with a development effort to restyle this downtown urban neighborhood. In the near future, the center also will be home to one of the first social work experiential laboratories in the country.

City Center provides 24-hour security seven days a week so all visitors must have an access badge, which is issued to students on the first day of class. Parking is available for a charge in the Olive Street garage, and USC provides a tram from the University Park

“City Center is great! I especially like the comfortable seats in the classrooms; the two computer labs filled with school supplies; and a break room stocked with hot cocoa and a big table for eating, studying and socializing. It feels more intimate here, and it’s a nice change of pace from the main campus.”
