Employer Resources

The USC School of Social Work is the only graduate social work program in California with a dedicated professional development office providing tailored services to Master of Social Work students and alumni. We partner with employers and recruiters to promote job openings and help create “outside-of-the-box” internship opportunities and jobs in organizations or departments that may not ordinarily hire social workers through our non-traditional social work initiative. Increasingly, employers are looking to USC MSW interns as an integral part of their succession planning and talent management efforts.

Recruitment

We offer employers a variety of ways to recruit at the USC School of Social Work, including one or more of the following free options:

  • Post employment opportunities in our online job bank, which features openings from a wide range of employers in Southern California and across the nation. All entries are reviewed and approved before posting and remain active for three months.
  • Email your job openings to the Office of Professional Development and Alumni Relations at sswcd@usc.edu for inclusion in the weekly emails to the alumni listserv that reaches more than 3,000 alumni.
  • Send a hard copy to the Office of Professional Development and Alumni Relations at sswcd@usc.edu or via fax at 213.821.3653 for posting on the Jobs Bulletin Board at the USC School of Social Work and at the Orange County, San Diego and Skirball academic centers.
