Mission Statement

The mission of the Asian Pacific Islander Social Work Caucus is to promote Asian Pacific Islander cultural awareness and provide social support for the students in the USC School of Social Work. It serves as a vehicle for advocacy within the Asian Pacific Islander community. This is accomplished through community service, solidarity, professional development, leadership and collaboration with other organizations.

We were established prior to 1981 and have an endowed scholarship fund that was established in 1998. Some of our priorities and interests include membership, scholarship, networking, service, social and political interests. We are involved in community service/political events, fundraising for our scholarship committee, social events, and political activities such as Anti-War rallies and brown bags focused on violence against women, human rights and immigration.
