- Download a copy of the Summer Loan Request Form, which typically becomes available in March and submit to the USC FAO
Important Notes About Summer Financial Aid
- Receiving summer financial aid will cause your financial aid award for the upcoming academic year to be split, in which you will receive a financial aid award letter that reflects summer and fall as one academic year, and spring as a separate academic year. This is different from the traditional financial aid award letter that reflects fall and spring as one academic year.
- Borrowing a Federal Stafford Loan for summer school does not adversely impact your subsequent financial aid for fall or spring.
- Borrowing the maximum Federal Graduate PLUS Loan for summer/fall and retrieving your refund from this loan during the summer can adversely impact your available funds for settling your fall tuition and fee bill.
- Scholarships are not available through the School of Social Work for summer school.
