Heterosexual HIV Risk Behavior in Homeless Men

Heterosexual HIV Risk Behavior in Homeless Men

Project Summary
This project will provide a comprehensive understanding of sexual risk behavior among homeless men, a population at high risk of HIV/AIDS.
Project Description
This study will shed light on heterosexual HIV risk factors in a population that is among the most vulnerable and stigmatized in the United States, and that has suffered from a dearth of attention from the scientific community. Through qualitative interviews, researchers will gain a greater understanding of homeless men's gender-related attitudes, social context, and sexual risk factors, with the goal of crafting a subsequent proposal to develop an intervention tailored to this population.
