Instructions for how to activate your USC email account are now available, however your account may not be available to activate until Monday, August 11. You are welcome to try to activate your USC email account now, but if it does not work, please return to this site between the afternoon of Monday, August 11, and Sunday, August 17, and follow the instructions to activate your USC email account. The University's central Information Technology Services (ITS) creates incoming student email accounts 2 to 6 weeks prior to the start of the semester, so trying to activate your account too early may be a frustrating experience.

Activate your email account BEFORE you come to campus for orientation the week of August 18. You will then be able to access several resources during the orientation, including anti-virus software for your home computer that you can use at no charge as long as you are a student at the University, and software that will let you access the electronic resources that are available through the University from your home computer.
