Course Content

One of the distinctive features of the MSW@USC is the high-quality course content provided through engaging videos that brings to life social work theory. Our professionally produced case studies can help you visually experience a “client’s” full range of emotions, for instance, making learning more tangible and accessible. Or, watching someone model practice skills may be easier to understand with a visual demonstration. Supplementing materials presented in a textbook and lectures with video can truly enhance discussion in the live online classroom by offering real-world examples, illustrating key concepts and inspiring students to revisit ideas outside of class.

Esther Gillies video Esther Gillies, clinical associate professor, introduces the breadth and scope of social work and identifies the connections between micro and macro social work practice.
