Engaging Homeless Youth in Vocational Training to meet Their Mental Health Needs
Project Summary:
This Stage I pilot study will test the feasibility of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model of supported employment with homeless youth (ages 16-24) with mental illness at two drop-in centers.
Project Description:
The IPS is an evidence-based employment program integrated with clinical services that facilitates entry into competitive employment for persons with mental illness by providing individualized and long-term support. The goal of this mixed-methods feasibility study is to adapt, implement and manualize the Individual Placement and Support approach with homeless youth with mental illness, ages 16-24, at two drop-in centers.
