ANNE BLAIR has taught at the Virtual Academic Center since its inception. A licensed clinical social worker in the state of Arizona, she specializes in the areas of rural/frontier social work, macro social work practice with Native American and other populations, and clinical supervision.
Before joining USC, she taught across the social work curriculum at Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. She served as clinical and administrative director of the Navajo Nation Tribal Behavioral Health Authority, clinical director of the Navajo Nation Department of Behavioral Health Services’ Western agency and clinical documents manager for Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority. She also worked as a nephrology social worker for the Hopi Health Care Center, as well as an administrative director, instructor and student adviser for the Northern Arizona University School of Social Work’s Tuba City Bachelor of Social Work cohort for Navajo and Hopi students. She maintained a private practice in Phoenix for 10 years.
