KATRINA FLOYD is part of the school's adjunct faculty. Her chief commitment is to empower the most vulnerable people in the community.
She has served in the field of social work for several decades, beginning with a position at the District of Columbia’s Child and Family Services Agency. She also worked as a licensing specialist for a therapeutic foster care agency as well as a clinical social worker at the Columbia Hospital for Women, where she developed and implemented an adolescent social services program. Her recent career endeavors have branched into managerial positions in agencies charged with meeting the needs of homeless youth and young adult families.
She holds both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Howard University and a doctoral degree in public health from The George Washington University.
