Orange County Academic Center

Established in 1984, the USC Orange County Academic Center offered the first and still one of the only fully accredited part-time and full-time Master of Social Work programs in Orange County. Centrally located near John Wayne Airport in Irvine, the center is convenient for those who live or work in the area and want a USC graduate education without the hassles of traveling far. Reflecting the growing mosaic of ethnicities and social work needs of Southern California, the center attracts a surprisingly diverse student body from Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties.

With technology-enhanced classrooms offering full multimedia, videoconferencing and satellite TV broadcasting capabilities, the Orange County Academic Center can readily share the same lectures and learning opportunities in Los Angeles and initiate teleconferences of its own. Students receive a top university education, including forward-looking knowledge in competent and compassionate practice and opportunities to join faculty in rigorous scholarship with advanced technology to support learning – all within an intimate, suburban environment.
