LYNN BERRY is a clinical social worker with more than 24 years of experience in mental health. She joined the adjunct faculty at the Virtual Academic Center in 2013. Since 2000, she has also served as an external field instructor for Master of Social Work students at several mental health and community service organizations in Los Angeles County.
Her background is in child, adolescent and adult mental health, HIV/AIDS, crisis intervention, domestic violence, child welfare, and sexual assault. She has worked extensively with the LGBTQ community and has supervised associate clinical social workers preparing for licensure. In addition, she served as an expert panel participant for the Los Angeles County Commission on HIV Medical Care Coordination Services Standards of Care.
A licensed clinical social worker in the state of California, Berry has experience applying various treatment modalities and has served as a clinical supervisor, director of clinical programs and clinical director for mental health and community service organizations throughout Los Angeles County. She previously served on the board of directors of the Pasadena Mental Health Center and was a recipient of the UCLA Department of Social Welfare Alumni Award.
