STAN BARNARD is an adjunct lecturer, field liaison and external field instructor at the Virtual Academic Center.  

A licensed clinical social worker, Barnard has had a comprehensive career in social work, operating a private practice, serving as an administrator at several psychiatric and substance abuse facilities, and providing direct clinical services to a variety of ages and populations. He was a collaborating investigator for the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition.

He is a former captain of the U.S. Army.
